Boat's Liquid Compass

Bowl- Grey painted brass, filler plug fitted to side of bubble-trap below verge ring. Base of bowl fitted with a bridge to which is attached a corrector magnet carrier. Verge glass fitted with brass spigot for an alidade. Inside of bowl painted white with a black painted lubber line. Mounted in gimbal ring 7.8" (20cm) diameter.
Card- diameter 5" (13cm) mica ring painted white with black markings, graduated to 360 degress, attached to large flat float.
