Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1827-1843

Four buttons. Domed. Rope twist edge. Within a flat circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown with a fouled anchor below. The stock on the anchor is slightly slanted down towards the left. The rope is tied to the ring, then goes over the right-hand side of the stock, under the shank to the left, then under the shank to the right , back under the shank to the left and under the left arm. Commissioned officers.
