Dry card compass
Bowl-Brass bowl, painted black, glazed on top with glass bowl, oil filled at base. The bowl is white inside with one black lubber line. There are four screws holding the glass top in place and a metal fixture at centre of glass holding the card. Has wedge-shaped brackets on side to fit into gimbals.
Card- Kelvin type 10" card graduated to 1/4 points and 360 degs.
Needle-Known to have eight needles slung in Kelvin-style beneath the card.
