Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1812-1827
Button. Flat. Within a flat circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown above a fouled anchor with a Foul anchor with the stock slanting downwards to the left. The rope is tied to the ring at the top, then goes under the right-hand side of the stock, under the shank to the left, then back under the shank to the right, then back under the shank to the left and under the left arm. Two branches of leaves cross at the bottom and go up each side with the tips of the branches level with the mid-point of the crown. Flag officer.
