Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1825-1827
Eight buttons.
Two of the buttons have a rope twist edge. Within a flat circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown with an anchor below with the stock slanting down to the left. The rope is tied to the ring at the top, it goes over the right-hand side of the stock, under the stock to the left, then under the stock to the right, then back under the stock to the left and goes under the left-hand arm. 1825 - 1827 Captain, Commander, Lieutenant, Midshipman.
