Sea shanty singers

Ready for a singalong? Join our resident sea shanty groups as they bring the ship alive by singing traditional working songs.

Meet the captain, chat with the cook, and even take a tour with Nannie the Figurehead! Join in with our fantastic character actors and get a taste of a life at sea. You never know who you might run into on board Cutty Sark...

Easter egg trail

Friday 18 – Monday 21 April | 10am – 4pm

Cutty Sark’s chickens have gotten loose and laid eggs around the ship - can you spot all the hidden eggs? 

Follow the trail to spot hidden eggs around the ship and collect all 11 letters on each egg to unscramble the secret nautical code.

Along the way, you’ll discover fascinating facts about Cutty Sark’s history and epic voyages. 

Once you’ve cracked the code, head to the Cutty Sark café under the hull to claim your chocolatey treat – a little reward to top off your cracking Easter adventure, courtesy of Tony's Chocolonely.

Creative cuppas teacup painting

Saturday 5 and Wednesday 16 April

Learn about different kinds of tea and paint your own teacups in this creative workshop! Inspired by Cutty Sark's past as a tea clipper, you’ll smell and touch teas like hibiscus and darjeeling, and use their colours as inspiration to paint your very own teacups.

Rockin' chicken boats

Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 April

Why did the chicken cross the ocean?*

Find out with this creative crafting workshop. You’ll create your very own unique rocking chicken boats with fun crafting materials, bright colours and touchable textures. Egg-cellent!

Figurehead floral crowns

Wednesday 9 April

Inspired by the famous figureheads seen at the National Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark, you’ll get to create your own beautiful blooms and luscious leaves to decorate your very own wearable flower crown… florally fabulous!

Pet puppet pals

Thursday 10 April

Whether you’re team kitty or team puppy, any puppet creation is paw-sible in this finger puppet-making workshop. Learn about the history of pets on ships, unleash your creative pet-tential and use a range of craft materials to create your very own finger puppet pal. Purr-fect!

Monday 14, Tuesday 15 and Monday 21 April

Inspired by Cutty Sark's connection with tea, in this workshop you’ll create your very own teacup and saucer- no fine china needed! Using card, junk modelling materials and a sprinkle of imagination, you’ll create an upcycled masterpiece fit for the finest tea party at sea. Tea-riffic!
