Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1805-1807; Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1807 - 1825
Three buttons. Flat. Two buttons (possibly in use 1805 - 1807) have twisted rope edges. On a circle with a smooth background is an oval with an inner rope twist edge and a lined background. Within the oval is a large anchor with the rope tied to the ring at the top, then it goes under the right-hand side of the stock, then under the shank to the left, back under the shank to the right and disappears under the right arm. A small anchor is at both the left-hand and right-hand ends of the stock. Master.
