Boat's liquid compass

Bowl: Black plastic, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. A large heavy lead balancing weight is fitted to base. Inside of bowl painted black with two black lubber lines painted on white plastic strips attached to side of bowl. Mounted in a black-painted brass gimbal ring 6.1" (15.5 cm) diameter.

Card: Dia 3.9" (10.0 cm) white plastic with black markings, graduated to 360 degrees. Has an annular plastic float at centre.

Needle: Unsighted.

Pivot: Unsighted, but said to be of inverted type.

Wooden box 8.1" x 8.1" x 7.0" (20.5 cm x 20.5 cm x 17.8 cm)
