alidade

A heavy brass painted grey, alidade with a wide cross piece which holds spigot to fit into compass and a locking lever. The fore sight is an open arch with nylon thread. There is also a jet reflector and mirror for celestial sightings. Back sight contains slit and peep hole also contains prism and shades.
For use on small repeaters associated with Plath and Patin transmitting magnetic compasses.
