Dirk
Straight bladed dirk. The hilt consists of a turned bone/ivory grip with a small oval gilt shell and a gilt brass pommel cap. The blade is straight and double-edged. The black leather scabbard has two brass lockets with rings, and a chape. From the Girdlestone family, with Nelson associations.
