A heavy grey painted brass alidade with wide cross piece which holds a spigot to fit into compass verge glass, and a locking lever. The fore sight is an open frame with thread, with a dark glass and mirror reflector for celestial observations. Back sight contains slit, peep-hole with prism and dark shades.
For use on small repeaters associatid with Plath and Patin transmitting magnetic compasses.
