Heavy black painted brass, with cross piece at centre which has a lower spike that fits into socket in verge glass of compass. A shadow pin is fitted in the cross piece. The folding fore sight is an open arch with thread and is fitted with a black glass reflector and mirror. The back sight has a slit and prism with two shaded filters.
