Slotted hilted hanger, the hilt of the hanger consists of a gilt slotted guard with a flat cap pommel. The ivory grip is bound with metal wire. The steel blade is curved, with a single fuller. The blade is engraved with 'Centaur 1773'. The scabbard is missing. The hanger is part of the Spinney Collection, which is made up of sixteen swords, five dirks and three pistols.
