Sword
Royal Marines sword. The hilt consists of a gilt-metal stirrup guard with lion's-head pommel and back-piece, and a reeded ivory grip. The blade is curved, blued and gilt for half its length. The scabbard is missing. This sword is part of the Spinney Collection which includes, in total, sixteen swords, five dirks and three pistols (AAA3114 (pair) and 3115).
