Dirk
Straight-bladed dirk. The hilt consists of a gilt cross-piece with five balls and inversed quillons. There is an ivory grip and octagonal gilt pommel. The blade is straight, blued and gilt for half its length and has a single groove. The scabbard is made of black leather with gilt brass mounts: two lockets with rings, the top locket also has a frog stud, and a chape. This dirk is part of the Spinney Collection which includes in total sixteen swords, five dirks and three pistols (AAA3114 (pair) and AAA3115).
