Dirk
Straight-bladed dirk. The hilt consists of a gilt metal cross-piece with acorn finials, an octagonal pommel and an ivory grip. The blade is straight with a single fuller. The black leather scabbard has two brass lockets and rings. The chape is missing. The scabbard is inscribed with 'Knubley & Co/No7/ Charing Cross/London'. This is part of the Spinney Collection which includes, in total, sixteen swords, five dirks and three pistols (AAA3114 (pair) and 3115).
