Command flag, Vice Admiral, RN
A command flag of a Vice-Admiral, RN. The flag is made of machine-sewn bunting in a wool/synthetic blend. The hoist is stencilled 'F. ADMIRAL 6'. It is supposedly the flag of Vice-Admiral Sir Doveton Sturdee flown in HMS 'Invincible' at the battle of the Falkland Islands, 8 December 1914. Repair at fly edge. Details on use of flag are uncertain. Rope and two Inglefield clips attached.
