Bowl: Grey-painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base with frosted glass cover. Inside of bowl painted white, with black-painted wire lubber line 0.75" (1.9 cm) long, extending from edge of bowl towards centre. Mounted in grey-painted brass gimbal ring 9.75" (24.8 cm) diameter.

Card: 6.0" (15.2 cm) diameter, white mica ? plastic ? with black markings, and black band around centre float. Graduated to 360 degrees. Decorated N point, and the remaining points marked 'G' (East), 'K' (South), 'B' (West). (Designed for use by Turkish Navy). Attached to black domed float at centre.

Needle: Unsighted.

Pivot: Unsighted.

In fitted wooden box 10.5" x 10.5" x 6.5" (26.7 x 26.7 x 16.5 cm) with leather securing strap
