Dry compass

Card: A band of cardboard is attached to a metal frame. The card is white with black markings graduated to 1/4 points and quadrantally in degrees.

Pivot: A brass bell shaped pivot cap is set at the centre of the framework.

Needle: Two needles are slung beneath the frame work and they are set in pointed cylinders. Length 3.5" (9 cm)
