Liquid compass

Card: White mica ring 1.25" (3.2 cm) with white markings (N point marked by Plath trademark) graduated to 1/4 points and to 360 degrees. Attached by six metal struts to unpainted float 4.25" (10.8 cm) diameter at centre.

Needle: Unsighted, but said to be contained within float.

Pivot: Inverted type with pivot point attached at centre of float at top of a short tube.
