Liquid compass

Card: A mica band 1.4" wide attached to the upper pair of needles and the float by a wire framework. The card is white with black markings graduated to quarter points and quadrantally in degrees.

Needle: The four needles, in two pairs, are all the same dimensions and are each housed in metal envelopes. Length 6.8" x 0.6" (17.6 cm x 2 cm). The upper pair is attached directly to the domed float and the lower pair by a wire framework.

Pivot: The pivot is incorporated into the mushroom domed float and the jewel can be removed by a screw on the top.
