Dry compass
Card- Mica covered with paper, black with white markings, graduated to 1/4 points. Has a decorated E point. Has 6 blobs of sealing to balance card.
Needle- Single flat bar needle 6.1" long tapering outwards from expanded centre to 0.75" from ends, where it rounds off gradually to blunt points.
Pivot-Cone-shaped brass pivot cap with jewel at top, screwed through centre of needle.
