Card-Mica with markings painted on. White with black markings graduated to 1/4 points. Open at centre to accommodate pivot cap. Decorated East point.
Needle-Edge bar nedle expanded at centre to accommodate pivot cap, 7.5" (19.1cm) long and 0.5" (1.6cm) deep. Has one moveable brass weight. There is a brass crossbar with one weight at right angles to the needle.
