Dry compass
Card- Mica with painted markings. Grey with black markings graduated to 1/4 points. Has decorated East point. Brass crossbar beneath card carries two moveable weights.
Needle- Flat edge bar type expanded at centre to accommodate pivot cap and slightly roundd at edge, 6.75" (17.2cm) long.
Pivot- Brass pivot cap, conical inside but tubular on top. Screws into needle.
