Princess Royal (1773), Windsor Castle (1790)
Scale 1:48. A plan showing outboard sheer (no waterlines) for 'Princess Royal' (1773), a 90-gun Second Rate, three-decker, illustrating the alterations to be made in cutting her down to a 74-gun, Third Rate, two-decker. However, she was broken up in 1807 instead. The plan was later used in 1814 for cutting down the 'Windsor Castle' (1790), a 90-gun Second Rate, three-decker, to a 74-gun Third Rate, two-decker.
Signed William Rule [Surveyor of the Navy, 1793-1813] and Henry Peake [Surveyor of the Navy, 1806-1822].
