Ganges (1821)
Scale: 1:126 and 1:10. A tracing dated June 1953 of plan ZAZ0243 showing the section of the keel at the midships, and a longitudinal elevation of the main and false keel for the Ganges (1821), an 84-gun Second Rate, two-decker, illustrating the mode of fixing cast iron protectors to the keel. The plan includes a reference and explanation regarding the plate and its fitting.
NMM, Progress Book, volume 6, folio 92, states that 'Ganges' had protectors fitted at Portsmouth Dockyard beteen 12 February and 21 February 1825. These were later removed in April 1826.
