Compass card
Card-Mica covered with paper, blue with black and blue markings, graduated to 1/4 points and quadrantally in degrees.
Needle- Two light bar edge needles, 5.5" long and 0.4" deep.Mounted on two light parallel bars 4.75" apart which are screwed to the card.
Pivot- Small cone-shaped brass pivot cap with jewel at top, screwed through centre of light brass framework having four long arms radiating from centre plate, the two E-W arms attached to the two needles, the two N-S arms, carrying sliding weights, are attached to the two bars on which needles are mounted.
