Compass card
Card-Mica covered with paper, blue with black and blue markings, graduated to 1/4 points and quadrantally in degrees.
Needle- Two light bar edge needles, 5.5" (14cm) long and 0.4"(1.3cm) deep. Mounted on two light parallel bars 4.75" (12cm) apart and screwed to the card.
Pivot- Small cone-shaped brass pivot cap with jewel at top, screwed through centre plate of light brass framework consisting of four long arms radiating from centre plate, the two E-W arms are attached to the two needles, the N-S arms are attached to the bars on which the needles are mounted.
In fitted wooden box 7.75 x 7.75 x 2.5" (19.7 x 19.7 x 6.4cm)
