Compass card
Card-Mica covered with paper, blue with black and blue markings, graduated to 1/4 points, about 1" from edge is a circle of degree graduations with two rows of figures 0-90 quadrantally and 0-360.
Needle- Four light bar edge needles, composed of two laminations of steel, 2 x 7.4" and 2 x 5,25" long and 0.5" deep. Mounted 2" apart, attached to two parallel metal strips 3.25" apart which are screwed to card.
Pivot- Cone-shaped brass pivot cap with jewel at top, screwed through centre of metal strip which is secured to the two parallel strips on which the needles are mounted.
