On the reverse is a plan showing the hold with sections for 'Boscawen' (1844), a 70-gun Third Rate, two-decker, as fitted at Chatham Dockyard as a Guard Ship.
NMM, Progress Book, volume 6, folio 195, states that 'Boscawen' (1844) was being built at Woolwich Dockyard between January 1826 and her launch on 3 April 1844. She was then moved to Sheerness Dockyard, arriving on 4 April 1844 to be fitted for ordinary, which was completed on 26 September 1848. 'Boscawen' arrived at Chatham Dockyard on 3 February 1851 to be fitted as a guard ship, completing on 16 May 1851.
