Dry card compass

Card: Mica covered with paper. Black with white markings graduated to quarter points and quadrantally in degrees. Laurel leaf decoration around pivot cap at centre. Paper cut away just inside quadrantal markings.

Needle: Edge bar needle pinched at centre to accommodate pivot cap. 6.75" (17 cm) long, 0.4" (1.0 cm) deep.

Pivot: Cone shaped brass pivot cap with jewel at top. Can unscrew to allow setting of needle.
