Dry compass

Card: Vertical metal ring 1.5" deep, outer edge painted white with black markings graduated to half points and quadrantally in degrees.

Needle: Two edge bar needles 5.15" in length, mounted in light brass double gimbals at centre of ring of card.

Pivot: A light brass strut attached across diameter of inner gimbal ring is provided with a hole in which to attach pivot (missing).
