Compass card
Card for a liquid compass.
Card: The card is made out of pressed metal, the graduations being embossed. The card is white (now much soiled) with black markings graduated to quarter points. The East point is decorated and there is a hole at the centre.
Needle: There are four edge bar needles attached to the card by screws
Dims 2 x 5.75" (15.6 cm) 2 x 3.0" (7.6 cm) both 0.5" (1.2 cm) wide
Pivot: It has an inverted pivot mounted in double gimbals.
