'Director' (1784)
Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth for building 'Director' (1784), a 64-gun Third Rate, two-decker.
Note that the name in the Admiralty stamp has been altered from 'Dictator' (1783). The dimensions for the two ships were very similar, which has lead to confusion over the identity of the which ship the plan relates to.
Signed by John Williams [Surveyor of the Navy, 1765-1784] and Edward Hunt [Surveyor of the Navy, 1778-1784].
