Compass card
Card for a liquid compass.
Card: A mica card attached to the float via the needles. The card is hand painted white with black markings graduated to quarter points and quadrantally in degrees.
Needle: The two needles are held in tubes which are attached to the card by brackets and to the float.
Pivot: The pivot is incorporated into the domed float and the jewel can be removed by a screw at the top of the dome.
