Compass card
Card for a dry compass.
A very light paper rim attached to a thin vertical aluminium band. The paper rim is black with white markings graduated to quarter points and quadrantally in degrees. There are silk threads running from the rim to an aluminium boss at the centre.
The needles, 8 in 4 pairs, are suspended by silk threads. Between the boss threads and the needles and thread is a silver paper circle, its rim glued to the white paper rim.
Dims of needles 3.5", 3.0", 2.75" & 2" (8.0, 7.7, 7.0 & 5.1 cm)
