Janus (1778); Charon (1778); Dolphin (1781)
Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth proposed (and approved) for Janus (1778), and later used for Charon (1778) and Dolphin (1781), all 44-gun Fifth Rate, two-deckers. These three ships were proposed with two tiers of windows, unlike some of the others in the class. However, the 'as built' plan for Charon shows her with only a single row of windows (see ZAZ2114).
