Charon (1778)
Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth for building Charon (1778), a 44-gun Fifth Rate, two-decker, at Harwich by Mr Barnard. The quarter galleries suggest she was originally designed with two tiers of windows, when the 'as built' plan (ZAZ2114) illustrates her with a single row.
Signed by John Williams [Surveyor of the Navy, 1765-1784].
