Liquid compass - aircraft

Bowl- Black plastic, filler plug at top, expansion chamber at back. Inside of bowl black with radium painted wire lubber line mounted across domed verge glass. Mounted in outer casing of grey painted brass 8.25 x 5 x 4.5" (21 x 12.7 x 11.5cm) which carries corrector magnets at top and bottom and an electric lamp fitting. There are two protective brass strips over verge glass aperture.
Card-Dia. 2.5" (6.4cm) black plastic vertical card with white markings graduated to 360 degs. Attached to black plastic float at centre.
Needle- Two needles 1.5" (3.9cm) long, mounted below float.
Pivot-Inverted type with stem carrying pivot cup secured to bottom of bowl.
