Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl-Dia. 8.5" (21.5cm) Black painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white with two black wire lubber lines painted on white strips attached to side. Mounted in a black painted brass gimbal ring 9.75" (24.7cm) dia.
Card-Dia. 6.75" (17.1cm) White painted aluminium with perforated markings, graduated to 8 points and to 360 degs. Attached to white painted float at centre.
Binnacle-Dia. 11.75" (29.8cm) Grey painted brass tubular body standing on three angle iron legs and contains magnet racks which slide up and down a heeling error magnet tube. Fitted with sphere brackets and spheres and brackets for fitting "G" type corrector coils.
Hood-Polished brass with a glazed oval aperture on one side, a circular aperture with hinged cover at the other side. Provision is made for two oil lamp brackets (one missing) and both lamps missing.
