Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl-Dia. 8.5" (21.5cm) Grey painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white with two black wire lubber lines painted on white strips attached to side. Mounted in a grey painted brass gimbal ring 9.75" (24.7cm) dia.
Card-Dia. 6.75" (17.1cm) White painted mica (?) ring with black markings, graduated to 8 points and to 360 degs. Attached by a wire framework to a white painted float at centre.
Needle-Four needles of circular section mounted below card.
Binnacle-Plywood pedestal with brass binnacle top .Dia. of pedestal 13" (33cm) Dia. of binnacle top 11" (28cm). Binnacle top fitted with sphere brackets with spheres. Pedestal (cover missing) has provision for fore and aft and athwartships corrector magent racks and a single vertical magnet carried in a wooden tube.
Hood- Black painted brass with an aperture with sliding shutters on one side and an electric lamp fitting on top.
