Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl-Dia. 6" (15.2cm) Grey painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white with two black lubber lines attached to sides. Mounted in a black painted brass gimbal ring 7" (17.8cm) dia.
Card-Dia. 4.5" (11.5cm) White painted plastic (?) ring with black markings graduated to 8 points and to 360 degs. Attached by a wire framework to a white painted float at centre.
Binnacle-Plywood pedestal with brass binnacle top .Dia. of pedestal 13" (33cm) Dia. of binnacle top 8" (20.3cm). Binnacle top fitted with sphere brackets and spheres, and 4 fore and aft and 4 athwartship receptacles for horizontal corrector magnets. Plywood pedestal has provision for fore and aft and athwartship corrector magnets racks and a single vertical magnet carried in a wooden tube.
Hood-Grey painted brass with an aperture with sliding shutters.
