Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the lower deck with fore & aft platforms for Alarm (1845) and Malacca (cancelled 1848), both 26-gun Sixth Rates. The plan includes alterations to the Paymaster's Cabin and Forward Magazine Light for Alarm.

Pencil annotation: 'A tracing showing the alterations of the Light (A) as shifted to (B) sent out to the Alarm on the 13th Nov'r 1845'.
Malacca was suspended in 1841, named in 1843 and the name transferred to a screw sloop building at Moulmeim, Burma in 1848, effectively cancelling the order to this design.
