Scale 1:48. Plan showing the midship section for Spartan (1841) and Creole (1845), and later for Amethyst (1844) and Niobe (1849), all 28-gun Sixth Rate ships. Spartan (1841) was was later deleted, once built and Amethyst (1844) and Niobe (1849) were added in 1841. This was prior to Niobe (1849) being reordered as one of Diamond class Sixthe Rate in March 1846. Signed W{illiam Symonds.
Annotation at bottom left: "N.B. See the scantling sheet here with dated 7 Dec 1841, for the Creole, Niobe and Ametlyst as to the use of Polish or Italian larch for the bottom planking from the Ly-?-?- to the Bilge Strokes: also for the Lower Deck beams. JE [Edge]."
