Marine Bubble Sextant
The sextant has a casing of black-lacquered alloy and artificial materials, with black plastic fittings. It houses optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The instrument has three green index shades.
The instrument has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 1 arcminute, and a vernier measuring to 1 arminute.
The sextant is contained in a square fitted wooden box with leather carrying strap, and containing a Henry Hughes and Son Ltd certificate of examination, dated 3 March 1949.
