Type 2
The sextant has a casing of black-lacquered alloy and artificial materials, which houses optical equipment, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The instrument has two green index shades and one red detached shade. A white plastic plate fitted to the side of the instrument is marked in Japanese characters, ‘Instrumental error chart’. Accompanying the instrument is an adjusting pin.
The sextant is contained in a fitted wooden box, however, the lid is missing. The instrument is incomplete.
