Seekreiselsextant
The sextant has a casing of grey-lacquered aluminium and artificial materials, with black plastic fittings. It houses optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The shades are missing.
The instrument has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 30 arcminutes, and a vernier measuring to 1 arcminute.
The sextant is contained in a fitted wooden carrying case containing an air pump connector, a battery connector, a battery charger with one battery missing, six light bulbs, a plastic suspension strap, a detached handle, and instructions for use. Marked on the side of the carrying case is ‘1952’.
