Kreiselsextant
The sextant has a casing of grey-lacquered aluminium and artificial materials, with black fittings. It houses optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The instrument has four index shades, three grey and one red.
The instrument has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 30 arcminutes. and a vernier measuring to 1 arcminute.
The sextant is contained in a fitted wooden carrying case containing the shades, a battery charger, three light bulbs (two other bulbs are missing and one is broken), a detached handle, and instructions for use in German. Marked on the side of the carrying case is ‘3533’.
