Kreiselsextant
The sextant has a casing of grey-lacquered aluminium and artificial materials, with black plastic fittings. It houses optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The instrument has four index shades, three grey and one red.
Marked on the sextant is a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 30 arcminutes.
The sextant is contained in a fitted wooden carrying case containing the shades, a battery charger, two batteries, six light bulbs, a plastic suspension strap, a handle, and instructions for use in German. Marked on the side of the case is,‘3383’.
