Universal deflector

Universal deflector in wooden box with plate on top which reads: 'Universal deflector//NA.174//C.Clausfns Patent'.

Consists of a brass circle with a silvered scale on its upper edge, graduated quadrantally in degrees. A brass bar with silvered scale is mounted across its diameter which rotates about a central pivot. At either end of the bar are two 'Y' bearings which carry a threaded spindle with two vertical magnets. The two magnets can be moved along the spindle by turning it.

In fitted wooden box.
